Inside the Factory: How We Ensure Consistent Quality in Every PVC Board Batch

Nothing can upset a B2B buyer more than receiving a delivery of PVC board and discovering that the board doesn’t match your previous order. Varying thicknesses, defects on the surface or flaws inside the board can halt your production and cause severe damage to the relationship you have. Here at JIAYING (PLUSWIN) since setting up our business some 19 years ago in the PVC industry, we have a built a solid reputation for consistently delivering quality product, order after order. Here’s how we do it.

Rigorous Raw Material Inspection and Formulation Control

The quality starts well in advance of the extrusion line. All raw materials that are supplied to the factory, such as PVC resin, foaming agents, stabilizers and pigments are subjected to strict tests before they are accepted. Each batch is checked for purity and consistency and material certifications are verified. The quality of your virgin PVC resin contributes to your ability to produce uniform density and uniform surface finish, which recycled "re-grind" PVC cannot offer.

Micro-ingredients which are introduced into the PVC compound during manufacture are precisely weighed within our production process so that we can ensure a uniform, consistent batch. Each sheet that rolls off the line will have the same density, hardness and dimensions due to this precision formulation. If it isn't in place, the boards could have uneven foaming, color uniformity or structural weaknesses that are not revealed. This means for the buyer that there is workability – boards that can be cut, printed, and fabricated without fail.

Multi-Stage Production Monitoring and Process Control

We have a well-controlled production process. The PVC compound is mixed in two steps: firstly at high speed to allow complete mixing, and then at low speed to allow the compound to cool further while being mixed. This will greatly enhance the density and stability of the end product.

We record the temperature, pressure and speed as it occurs during the process of extrusion. Heating and foaming is carried out at precisely controlled temperatures between 160°C to 190°C, to achieve proper plasticization and even foaming. Board is then extruded through a secondary shaping and cooling operation to minimize the shrinkage and quality flaws (cracks and warpage). This is a dual stage shaping process: in-mold cooling followed by reheating for final shaping and produces boards with minimum defects and a consistent dimension.

Comprehensive Quality Inspection Protocols

However quality control is not complete when the Board exits the extruder. Each batch will undergo systematic checks for a range of parameters to ensure it meets the customer specifications and industry requirements. Surface quality, color stability, edge condition are assessed in controlled lighting environments, while precision instruments verify dimensional integrity such as thickness and flatness. The physical and mechanical properties such as density, hardness, impact resistance and water absorption are tested according to standard procedure.

Other tests such as flame retardancy (UL94 V-0), weathering and processing performance tests are performed for boards having special requirements. These tests have proved our boards will remain effective for the applications they are designed for, if it's a sharp printable detail or if they are left outdoors without warping.

Packaging and Logistics That Preserve Quality

There’s no way to perfectly load your vehicle, so even the best of quality PVC boards can get damaged. Therefore, to eliminate the risk of scratched, damaged, and moisture effected boards throughout their transit, each of our boards is individually wrapped in high grade protective PE film. We provide strengthened corners, as well as our moisture resistance wooden pallet for safe shipment and all our boards are exported, meeting the standard shipping requirement so that your PVC board can be delivered to you facility just as it comes from the manufacturer.

JIAYING (PLUSWIN) have 19 years of experience in the PVC Sheet Manufacturing Field and have 10 years of export experience to all around the world. We have an ISO certified production process, quality control and virgin materials to guarantee consistency from batch to batch of PVC boards. Feel free to contact us if you need to discuss about PVC board requirement.
