PVC Foam Board & WPC Board FAQ: Products, Customization, Quality and Shipping

Time : 2026-09-08

Choosing the right PVC foam board or WPC board involves more than comparing prices. Buyers also need to consider density, surface hardness, screw-holding strength, finishing options, packaging and compliance requirements.

This FAQ answers the questions most frequently asked by distributors, furniture manufacturers, signage companies, contractors and other professional buyers.

Product Selection

1. What products do you supply?

Our product range includes:

PVC Celuka foam board

PVC laminated board

WPC foam board

PVC co-extrusion foam board

PVC marble UV board

PVC and WPC wall panels

Edge banding as a supporting accessory

PVC free foam board

PET and PETG film solutions are also available on request. Tell us your application, required dimensions, target density, surface finish and destination market, and our team will recommend a suitable product.

2. What is the difference between PVC Celuka foam board and PVC free foam board?

PVC Celuka foam board has a dense, hard outer skin. It provides higher strength and is more suitable for grooving, screw fixing, cabinetry, bathroom units and structural components. Standard options cover densities from 0.4 to 1.0 g/cm³ and thicknesses from 1 to 30 mm.

PVC free foam board has a softer surface without the dense Celuka skin. It is lighter and more economical, making it suitable for signage, screen printing, display stands and short-term promotional applications. Standard options cover densities from 0.3 to 0.35 g/cm³ and thicknesses from 1 to 20 mm.

3. Should I choose PVC foam board or WPC board?

Choose PVC foam board when you need a smooth surface, low weight, easy printing or machining, and a cost-effective solution for signage, partitions or light cabinetry.

Choose WPC board when the application requires greater hardness, stronger screw holding or a more wood-like appearance. WPC board contains wood or bamboo fibre in addition to PVC and mineral filler, making it suitable for wall decoration, flooring substrates, cabinetry and furniture components.

Both materials offer excellent water resistance, but the final choice should be based on the required mechanical performance, finish and installation method.

4. What sizes, thicknesses and colours are available?

Available dimensions vary by product line. PVC Celuka foam board can be supplied in thicknesses from 1 to 30 mm, with standard and large-format sheet options. PVC free foam board is generally available from 1 to 20 mm.

Standard colours for Celuka board include white, black, grey and brown. Custom colours can be matched to a Pantone reference. Laminated, marble, wood-grain, fabric, metallic, high-gloss and other decorative finishes are also available across selected product lines.

Because specifications differ by product and order quantity, final availability should be confirmed in the quotation.

5. Can the boards be cut, drilled, printed or laminated?

Yes. Depending on the selected board, common processing options include cutting, CNC routing, engraving, drilling, grooving, screw fixing, UV printing, screen printing, painting and lamination.

For applications requiring hardware fixing or structural strength, Celuka foam board or WPC board is generally more suitable than free foam board. We recommend testing a sample before mass production when the project has special machining or finishing requirements.

Samples and Customization

6. Do you provide free samples?

Yes. Small samples in different thicknesses, densities and laminated colours are available free of charge. The buyer is responsible for courier costs.

Regular samples are normally dispatched within two days after the freight payment is received. Custom-made samples are quoted according to the required material, size, colour and processing.

7. Can you send colour cards or sample books?

Yes. Physical colour cards, A4 sample sets and digital PDF colour references are available. Colour cards are free, while courier costs are paid by the buyer. Standard colour-card packages are normally dispatched within three days.

Large distributors may request multiple sets for showroom or dealer presentation, subject to confirmation.

8. What can be customized?

Customization options include:

Sheet size and thickness

Density

Pantone colour matching

Surface film or facing material

Wood-grain, marble, fabric, metallic and solid-colour finishes

Cutting and machining

Labels and shipping marks

Branded protective film and cartons

Side-edge branding

Pallet and export packaging

Both sample-based customization and full customization are supported. Please provide drawings, reference samples, colour codes, intended use and target quantity for evaluation.

9. What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ depends on the product line, thickness, colour, finish and customization level. Mixed-container loading is supported, and different thicknesses, densities and product lines can be combined in one container.

Each specification normally needs to meet its own MOQ. However, when the total order reaches a full-container quantity, the MOQ for selected items may be reviewed. LCL orders are also accepted, with a minimum of 50 sheets for applicable products. Final MOQ is confirmed with the quotation.

10. Do you offer private-label packaging?

Yes. For qualifying orders, packaging can be customized with the buyers logo, labels, shipping marks, printed cartons or branded protective film. Custom packaging is generally available from one container and may involve a one-time plate-making fee plus a per-sheet charge.

Vector logo artwork or a high-resolution brand file is required. Custom packaging normally has little impact on the standard production schedule.

Ordering, Quality and Compliance

11. What information is needed for a quotation?

For an accurate quotation, please provide:

Product type or intended application

Sheet dimensions and thickness

Required density

Colour and surface finish

Quantity for each specification

Processing or branding requirements

Packaging preference

Destination port

Preferred trade term, such as EXW, FOB, CFR/CNF or CIF

If you are unsure about the specification, describe the end use and required performance. Our team can help narrow down the suitable options.

12. What are the usual payment terms?

The standard deposit is generally 20% to 30%. The balance-payment arrangement is assessed according to the order and customer profile and may be required before shipment, against a copy of the bill of lading, or before the cargo reaches the destination port.

Production scheduling normally begins within five to seven days after the deposit is received. Final payment terms are stated in the pro forma invoice.

13. What is the typical production lead time?

Lead time depends on the specification, quantity, customization and production schedule. As a general reference:

Qualifying standard specifications may be available for dispatch within two days, subject to order confirmation

One to two containers: approximately 30 days

Three to five containers: approximately 45 days

Packing and container loading generally require an additional one to two days. The confirmed schedule will be stated in the order documents.

14. How do you control product quality?

Every order undergoes pre-shipment inspection by an independent five-person QC team. Checks may include dimensions, thickness, density, surface condition, colour, packing and order-specific performance requirements.

Third-party inspection can also be arranged when required. Buyers should communicate the inspection standard and acceptance criteria before production so they can be included in the order requirements.

15. What certificates and test reports are available?

Available compliance documents include selected CE, RoHS, REACH, ECE R118, ASTM E84, formaldehyde-emission and physical-performance reports issued by organizations such as SGS, Intertek and FEMKO.

Certificates and reports apply to specific products, constructions and test conditions. Please provide the product, destination country and required standard so we can confirm which document is applicable. Local testing can also be coordinated when a market-specific certification is required.

Packaging and Shipping

16. How are the boards packed?

Four main packaging options are available:

PE bag: Two to ten sheets per bag depending on thickness, with kraft paper corner protectors.

Carton: Two to ten sheets per carton, with optional printed specifications and buyer marks.

Standard pallet: Fumigation-free plywood base and pallet feet, stretch film, kraft paper corner protectors and PP strapping.

Fully enclosed pallet: Fumigation-free plywood base and pallet feet, plywood side protection, kraft paper corner protectors and PP strapping.

Optional protective film can be applied to help prevent scratches and dirt during handling. Shipping marks can include the product description, specification, quantity, gross and net weight, origin and buyers mark.

17. Are the pallets fumigation-free?

Yes. Standard export pallets use fumigation-free plywood. Because this is processed wood material rather than untreated solid wood, an IPPC fumigation mark or fumigation certificate is generally not required.

Packaging requirements can vary by destination and buyer instructions, so the final pallet configuration should be confirmed before shipment.

18. Can you handle LCL shipments or mixed-container orders?

Yes. LCL consolidation and mixed-container loading are supported. LCL cargo is normally packed on fumigation-free pallets with stretch film and kraft paper corner protection. A fully enclosed plywood pallet can be selected as a paid upgrade.

Goods can also be delivered to a buyer-nominated consolidation warehouse for loading with products from other suppliers. Courier or air freight is possible for small sample quantities, but it is usually less economical because panels are large and heavy.

19. Which trade terms do you support?

Common options include:

EXW: Goods at the factory; the buyer arranges pickup and all subsequent costs.

FOB: Goods, domestic transport, export clearance and loading are included; ocean freight and insurance are arranged by the buyer.

CFR/CNF: FOB costs plus ocean freight to the destination port.

CIF: CFR/CNF plus marine cargo insurance.

Under the current shipping-support policy, qualifying CNF orders may be upgraded to CIF with marine insurance at no additional charge. Availability should be confirmed in the quotation.

After-Sales Support

20. What should I do if I find a quality issue after delivery?

Contact the sales representative promptly and keep the original packaging and defective samples for verification. The standard process is:

Issue report evidence submission verification assessment resolution proposal implementation

An initial response is normally provided within one to seven working days after the required information is received.

21. How long do I have to submit a quality claim?

The standard claim window is 30 days after receipt, counted from the cargos arrival at the destination port. Hidden defects discovered only after unpacking, such as deformation or colour change, should be reported within 30 days after unpacking.

Late claims may still be reviewed through negotiation, but buyers are encouraged to report any issue as early as possible.

22. What evidence is needed for a claim?

Useful evidence includes:

Full-container or full-stack photos

Clear photos of shipping marks and labels

Close-up photos of defects with a ruler or measuring scale

Photos showing the overall distribution of affected sheets

Unloading and unpacking videos

Quantity records checked against the packing list

Bill of lading, packing list, commercial invoice and delivery receipt

Photos of the outer packaging condition

Defective samples for verification

Third-party inspection or survey reports for major claims

Photos or videos alone may not be sufficient for a final assessment. Evidence is reviewed together to distinguish product defects from handling or transit damage.

23. What solutions are available for an approved claim?

Depending on the assessment and the commercial impact, possible solutions may include replacement in a subsequent shipment, refund, credit against a future order or an agreed price adjustment.

The final solution is determined after the evidence has been reviewed and responsibility has been confirmed.
