A. Product & Technical

A1. What is the difference between Celuka foam board and free foam board?

Short answer: PL-01 Celuka foam board is a rigid PVC foam board with a dense, hard skin — density 0.4–1.0 g/cm³, thickness 1–30 mm — used for furniture, cabinetry, bathroom units and any application that needs load-bearing strength or hardware fixing. PL-08 free foam board is a lighter, more economical board — density 0.3–0.35 g/cm³, thickness 1–20 mm — mainly used for flat display applications such as advertising boards, signage and screen-printing substrates.

The two products come from different manufacturing processes and serve different applications:

A2. PVC foam board vs WPC board — which suits which application?

Short answer: PVC foam board (PL-01 / PL-04 / PL-08) is made of PVC plus calcium powder — smooth plastic surface, lighter and more cost-effective, best for advertising signage, UV printing, light cabinetry and waterproof partitions. WPC board (PL-03) adds wood or bamboo fibre, giving higher hardness and better screw-holding strength; it is best for wall cladding, flooring substrates and premium cabinetry. Both are 100% waterproof.

A3. Co-extrusion vs standard Celuka board — is the price premium worth it?

Short answer: PL-04 co-extrusion board uses a dual-layer process in which the surface layer has its own formulation, giving higher hardness, better scratch resistance, chemical resistance and weatherability. It is worth the premium for outdoor or semi-outdoor use, high-contact commercial surfaces and projects used directly without painting or lamination. For indoor, low-contact surfaces or budget-sensitive bulk orders, PL-01 Celuka is sufficient.

When PL-04 is worth the premium: outdoor and semi-outdoor use, high-touch commercial surfaces such as cabinet doors and display counters, projects that require a high-strength scratch-resistant surface, and projects intended for direct use without painting or lamination.

When it is not necessary: indoor low-contact surfaces and budget-sensitive bulk orders — PL-01 Celuka is sufficient.

A4. What is the difference between PVC marble UV board and laminated board?

Short answer: PL-05 marble UV board is a PVC marble sheet finished with heat-transfer film or PVC film plus a UV-cured coating — a high-gloss or matt stone look for wall cladding. PL-02 laminated board is a PVC or WPC substrate laminated with PUR adhesive to a facing material (PVC film, PET film, HPL, CPL, SPL or aluminium) across 7 pattern families — the standard choice for cabinetry and commercial fit-outs.

A17. Can I use standard woodworking equipment? Do I need special tooling?

Short answer: Yes — standard woodworking equipment works, including table saws, CNC routers, edge banders and drills. Industry practice is to use fine-tooth carbide blades, avoid excessive spindle speed (frictional heat causes melting at the cut), maintain a steady feed rate and use dust extraction, because PVC chips are static-prone. Extra-high-density boards (0.7–1.0 g/cm³, high calcium content) wear tooling faster than wood.

Blades:

fine-tooth carbide

CNC bits:

single-flute or double-flute spiral bits

Edge banding:

standard EVA hot-melt edge banders

Feed rate:

Dust extraction:

recommended — PVC chips are static-prone

Tool wear:

extra-high-density boards (0.7–1.0 g/cm³) wear tooling faster than wood

We do not currently publish a formal fabrication guide or recommended tooling suppliers. Our technical team can advise on your specific equipment and application.

A18. Can the boards be painted? What adhesive should I use?

Short answer: PL-01 Celuka and WPC boards can be spray-painted after sanding and priming, using a PVC-specific primer or PU paint. PL-02, PL-05 and PL-06 are pre-finished, so painting is not recommended. For adhesives, we recommend the type according to your application scenario; our lamination line uses PUR hot melt, and matching adhesives can be sourced with your shipment.

Painting: PL-01 Celuka and WPC boards accept sanding, priming and spray painting. PL-02 laminated, PL-05 UV and PL-06 wall panel are pre-finished and do not require painting.

Adhesive selection depends on your substrate, environment and process. Our technical team can recommend a grade for your specific application, and matching adhesives can be purchased together with your order. Bond-strength test data is not currently available.

A19. How should the boards be stored? Will they warp or yellow?

Short answer: Store the boards flat-stacked on a level pallet rather than standing vertically, keep stack height to around 1.5 m as an industry guide, keep storage temperature below 40 °C, and store in a cool shaded area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. PVC is not moisture-sensitive, which is an advantage over wood-based panels.

Item

Guidance

Stacking

Flat-stacked on a level pallet; avoid prolonged vertical storage, which causes bowing

Stack height

≤ 1.5 m (industry guide)

Storage temperature

Below 40 °C

Environment

Cool shaded area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources

Moisture

PVC is not moisture-sensitive — an advantage over wood-based panels

Warping typically results from improper storage. Yellowing of white boards occurs only under prolonged strong UV exposure and is negligible indoors.

A written Storage & Handling Guide is not currently supplied with shipments. Please contact our sales team if you would like storage guidance for a specific project.

A20. What if the boards arrive slightly warped?

Short answer: Slight warping after long sea transit, caused by temperature swings inside the container, is common and usually recoverable. Lay the boards flat on a level surface with even weight on top for 24–72 hours, and allow them to acclimatise in the installation environment for at least 24 hours before fabrication. If the boards do not recover, send us photos and we will assess a solution.

Recovery steps:

1. Lay the boards flat on a level surface with even weight distributed on top

2. Allow 24–72 hours for the boards to settle

3. Allow at least 24 hours of acclimatisation in the installation environment before fabrication

If the boards do not recover: send us photos showing the full-board view, a side view showing the deflection, and the packaging condition, and we will assess a solution.

Claim policy: we do not publish a flatness tolerance standard; out-of-tolerance issues are resolved case by case, typically by price adjustment. Claims are valid within 30 days of receipt. Initial negotiation is based on customer photos and videos, and a third-party inspection report is required if no agreement is reached.

Short answer: EXW covers goods only; FOB adds inland freight, export clearance and loading; CNF/CFR adds ocean freight; CIF adds marine insurance. Our default quotation term is FOB Ningbo. We also upgrade CNF customers to CIF free of charge for orders of one container or more — we purchase marine insurance covering damage, water damage and loss during transit at no extra cost.

B12. Can I modify my order after placing it? (quantity / specification / colour)

Short answer: Changes are possible before the order is scheduled for production and are free of charge as long as there is no waste of cost or procurement resources. Once production is scheduled, the order cannot be changed. The impact on lead time and the effect of increasing or decreasing quantity are assessed case by case.

C. Packaging, Shipping & Logistics

C1. How are the boards packed? Is there protection against moisture and impact?

Short answer: We offer four standard packaging options, with packaging fees varying by option: PE bag, carton, standard wooden pallet, and fully-enclosed wooden pallet. Every option includes paper corner protectors against surface scratches and edge damage from forklifts or hoisting, and carries shipping marks for customs and warehousing identification.

Option

Description

① PE bag

2–10 sheets per bag depending on thickness, with paper corner protectors against surface scratches and edge damage from forklifts / hoisting

② Carton

2–10 sheets per carton depending on thickness; customer marks and product specs can be printed on the carton, protecting the surface and corners while presenting your brand

③ Standard wooden pallet

Fumigation-free plywood base + pallet feet, wrapped with stretch film + paper corner protectors + PP strapping; easy forklift handling, isolates ground moisture, protects against moisture and dust, and stacks stably

④ Fully-enclosed wooden pallet

Fumigation-free plywood base + pallet feet, enclosed with plywood panels + paper corner protectors + PP strapping

Shipping marks:

all options carry description, spec, quantity, gross and net weight, origin and buyer's mark

Protective film:

optionally available to prevent scratches and dirt; removed after installation

Moisture:

PVC itself does not absorb water or grow mould — a natural advantage over wood-based panels

C2. Can you provide custom packaging and private labelling?

Short answer: Yes. Protective film, cartons, labels and shipping marks can all be customised with your LOGO, available from orders of one container or more. A one-time plate-making fee plus a per-sheet charge applies, and you need to provide LOGO vector files or images. Lead time is essentially unaffected, and your brand can also be marked on the side edge of the board.

C3. How many sheets per pallet?

Short answer: For 1220×2440 mm standard size, reference quantities per pallet are 340 sheets at 3 mm, 200 at 5 mm, 125 at 8 mm, 84 at 12 mm, 67 at 15 mm, 56 at 18 mm, 40 at 25 mm and 34 at 30 mm. Pallet weight is limited to under 2 tonnes and stack height to 1.1 m.

C4. Do you use wooden pallets? Will fumigation cause customs delays?

Short answer: Our standard pallets are fumigation-free, so no IPPC mark is required and there is no fumigation surcharge. Fumigation-free pallet price is USD 25–40 per pallet, confirmed per order. No fumigation certificate or Non-Wood Packing Declaration is needed.

Why this matters: wooden packaging for export must comply with ISPM 15 (heat treatment or methyl bromide plus IPPC mark) or shipments may be held, returned or treated at destination. This applies in the EU, USA, Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, Brazil and elsewhere. Our use of fumigation-free pallets avoids this risk entirely.

C5. How are small orders packed? Can I consolidate shipments?

Short answer: Yes. LCL consolidation is accepted with a minimum of 50 sheets, packed on a fumigation-free pallet with stretch film and paper corner protectors; a paid upgrade to a pallet enclosed with plywood panels is available. Mixing your goods with other suppliers in one container at a customer-nominated consolidation warehouse is also supported.

C6. How much fits in a 20GP or 40HQ container?

Short answer: PVC boards are heavy cargo. A 40HQ typically reaches the weight limit of around 28 tonnes before it is full (volume ≤ 64 m³), while a 20GP reaches its volume limit first (about 25 m³ usable). Confirmed actual 40HQ loadings: 18 mm / 0.55 density / white — 940 sheets; 17 mm / 0.5 density / white — 1,100 sheets; 15 mm / 0.55 density / white — 1,130 sheets.

Mixed orders:

most orders mix multiple specs, so please confirm the exact container quantity with our sales team — actual loading prevails

C7. Which ports do you ship from?

Short answer: Our main loading port is Ningbo, which is also our default FOB port. Other ports can be nominated, with the additional inland freight calculated separately. Factory-to-port inland transit takes 2–3 hours.

C9. Which Incoterms do you support? Can you do DDP?

Short answer: We support EXW, FOB, CNF/CFR, CIF, DDP, DAP/DDU and FCA/CPT/CIP. DDP is supported with fees calculated separately per order, and it requires customer import-clearance credentials or tax IDs such as VAT, EORI or IOR. Our default quotation term is FOB Ningbo, and CNF customers receive a free upgrade to CIF on orders of one container or more.

Important: final classification is determined by the customs authority at destination and may vary by country, directly affecting duty rates. We recommend confirming the code with your local broker before ordering — we can issue documents using your confirmed code.

C15. What if the goods are damaged in transit?

Short answer: We provide dual protection: a free CNF-to-CIF upgrade in which we purchase marine insurance at our own cost covering damage, water damage and loss in transit, plus product liability insurance, 100% pre-shipment inspection by our 5-person QC department and loading photos documenting the condition at departure. The sum insured is 110% of cargo value, and insurance claims must be filed within 15 days of receipt.

Our protection package:

1. Free CNF-to-CIF upgrade — we purchase marine insurance at our own cost

2. Product liability insurance

3. 100% pre-shipment inspection by our 5-person QC department

4. Loading photos documenting condition at departure

If damage occurs:

1. Inspect on unloading and photograph or video the goods immediately, and note the damage on the delivery receipt — this is critical for insurance claims

2. Collect evidence: container exterior, seal number, close-ups, packing list, quantity count

3. Notify us immediately for a 24-hour response

4. File the insurance claim under CIF, with our assistance providing shipping documents, loading photos and the policy

5. Agree on a replacement or credit solution

Terms: sum insured 110% of cargo value · claims window within 15 days of receipt · CNF-to-CIF free upgrade applies to orders of one container or more · not applicable when the customer nominates their own forwarder.

D. Quality, Claims & After-Sales

D1. What if I find quality issues after receiving the goods?

Short answer: Report the issue to your sales contact and we will reply within 1–7 working days. The process is: customer reports → evidence submitted → our verification → assessment → resolution plan → execution. Please retain the original packaging and samples for verification. Orders placed through Alibaba Trade Assurance are additionally protected at platform level.

Our quality safeguards in the background: 100% pre-shipment inspection by our 5-person QC department, an Intertek-verified factory, and Alibaba Trade Assurance protection for quality and on-time shipment.

D2. What is the claim window for quality issues?

Short answer: Claims are valid for 30 days after receipt, counted from the date of arrival at port. Hidden defects, such as deformation or colour change discovered after unpacking, are accepted within 30 days of unpacking. Late claims are negotiable rather than automatically rejected, and we do not require immediate inspection at container unloading or annotations on the signed delivery receipt.

D3. What evidence is required for a claim?

Short answer: Typical claim evidence includes photos, a video of unloading or unpacking, quantity records cross-checked against the packing list, documents such as the B/L, packing list, invoice and signed delivery receipt, packaging condition photographs, and a third-party report for claims where the defect ratio exceeds 10%.

Evidence checklist:

Photos

— full container or stack view, shipping marks, close-ups of defects with a measuring scale, overall defect distribution

Video

— unloading or unpacking

Quantity records

— cross-checked against the packing list

Documents

— B/L, packing list, invoice, signed delivery receipt with annotations

Packaging condition

— to distinguish transit damage from product defects

Third-party report

(SGS / BV / Intertek) — required where the defect ratio exceeds 10%

Insurance documents

— for transit damage

Our evidence policy: customer-taken photos and videos are not accepted as the sole basis for a claim. Where the defect ratio exceeds 10%, a third-party inspection report is required; if the final assessment finds that the quality issue is ours, we bear the report cost. Returning defective samples is required, with shipping costs borne by us.

D4. How do you compensate for quality issues?

Short answer: Compensation options include replacement on the next order, refund, discount-offset on a new order, or acceptance at an adjusted price. Application conditions, freight for replacements, compensation caps, processing deadlines and the split between transit responsibility (handled through insurance) and product responsibility (borne by us) are all assessed case by case.

D5. Is colour variation a quality issue? What colour tolerance do you allow?

Short answer: Slight colour variation between production batches is common for plastic sheets. Within a batch, variation is minimal; between batches, slight variation is generally accepted. We do not commit to a fixed colour-tolerance standard — your approved sample and your confirmation prevail, and we keep the approved sample for 1 year as the reference for later batches.

Industry background: colour variation between batches is normal for plastic sheet production. As an industry reference rather than our committed standard, a commonly quoted quantified tolerance is ΔE ≤ 1.0–1.5 measured with a colorimeter, with the approved sample or colour card serving as the reference standard.

Our colour policy:

We do not commit to a colour-tolerance standard — the customer's approved sample and confirmation prevail

We keep the approved sample for 1 year as the reference for later batches

Out-of-tolerance cases are handled case by case in consultation with the customer

We actively flag batch colour-variation risk on reorders

We do not guarantee that an entire project is produced in one batch

Practical advice: for a single project, order the full quantity at one time to minimise batch variation.

D6. What is the thickness tolerance?

Short answer: As an industry reference, typical thickness tolerances for PVC foam board are ±0.2 mm for 1–5 mm and 5–10 mm boards, and ±0.3 mm for 10–20 mm and 20–30 mm boards. Other typical tolerances are ±5 mm on length and width, ≤10 mm on diagonal, ≤2 mm per metre on flatness and ±0.02 g/cm³ on density.

D7. What policies do you offer for long-term customers?

Crucially, our QC department is structurally independent from production and also controls inbound and outbound warehousing — avoiding the "production inspects itself" problem common in smaller factories.

E9. Is every batch inspected? Which items are checked?

Short answer: Yes — every batch undergoes 100% inspection rather than sampling by our 5-person QC department before shipment. Routine batch checks cover thickness, dimensions, density, colour and appearance, while other properties are tested periodically by third parties. Inspection records are kept for 1 year, and customers may specify additional inspection items.

E11. Where do your raw materials come from? How do you ensure consistency?

Short answer: Our known composition, from the MSDS, is PVC 43%, calcium powder 41.9%, foaming regulator 7%, ABS 5%, calcium-zinc stabiliser 2%, foaming agent 1% and PE wax 0.1%. The use of a calcium-zinc rather than lead-based stabiliser is key to passing RoHS and REACH-SVHC. Consistency is supported by 14 self-managed lines, direct raw-material sourcing, our ISO 9001 system and QC-controlled inbound inspection.

Where we are particularly strong: distributors, retail building-material stores, fit-out and decoration companies, and furniture and cabinet factories. We have also served large retail chains and brands, which we can describe in anonymised form — for example, "a European building-material chain".

Our exports reach 96 countries across 6 continents, and our product mix of 8 lines plus matching edge banding serves both distributors and manufacturers.

Short answer: We do not have our own overseas warehouses, nor do we work with third-party overseas warehouses in the US, Europe or Dubai. F5. Do you support dropshipping or small-volume distribution?

Short answer: We operate a B2B wholesale export model with container-scale MOQs, but we do accept small-volume orders with a minimum of 50 sheets. We have co-operated with cross-border e-commerce sellers on Amazon and independent sites. Small-volume prices may be higher and are negotiated with sales; the product is not suitable for air or courier shipment and ships by sea freight only.

F6. We are a new customer — how do you recommend we start?

Short answer: We recommend a three-step start. First, tell us your application, target market and approximate volume, and our sales team responds within 24 hours with product, thickness and density recommendations plus technical documents. Second, review samples and colour cards. Third, place a trial order of one container to validate quality, packing, lead time and service before scaling up.

Step 1 — Define the product (1–3 days) Tell us your application — cabinetry, wall cladding, signage or another use — your target market and your approximate volume. Our sales team responds within 24 hours with product, thickness and density recommendations, plus TDS, SDS and all 13 certifications.

Step 2 — Review samples (1–7 days) Request our PL-02 colour card and PL-05 marble colour catalogue, together with physical samples, to confirm colour, texture and thickness.

Step 3 — Trial order (approx. 30 days for 1–2 containers) Start with one container to validate quality, packing, lead time and service. You receive 100% pre-shipment inspection by our 5-person QC team, loading photos, a free CNF-to-CIF insurance upgrade and full documentation.

Step 4 — Scale up Move to volume-tiered pricing, stock-keeping, long-term customer terms and, where relevant, territorial or exclusive arrangements.

We deliberately do not push large first orders — a trial container lets our product and service prove themselves.

F7. Can you advise which products suit our market?

Short answer: Yes. With customers in 96 countries, we match products to your market across five dimensions: compliance, application, size conventions, price positioning, logistics and certificates of origin. Just tell us your target country, downstream customer type, main application, target price range and any mandatory local certification.

How we match products to your market:

Dimension

What we assess

Compliance

EU needs CE + RoHS + REACH · North America needs ASTM E84 · vehicle interiors need ECE R118 · childcare and school projects need formaldehyde ND

Application

Cabinetry-driven markets → PL-01 + PL-02 + PL-07 · advertising-driven markets → PL-08

Size conventions

4×8 ft versus 1220×2800 mm and other regional preferences

Price positioning

Density and thickness combinations matched to your price point

Logistics

Loading optimisation for 20GP and 40HQ containers

Certificates of origin

For example FORM E duty reduction for ASEAN markets — often overlooked by other suppliers

To get a tailored recommendation, tell us: target country · downstream customer type · main application · target price range · any mandatory local certification.

F9. A competitor quoted lower — how do you respond?

Short answer: In PVC board sourcing, the quoted unit price is rarely the total cost you end up paying. We suggest comparing on a landed-total-cost basis: defect rate, specification shortfall, customs delays, transit loss, delivery delays, after-sales response and batch colour consistency. If a competitor can match the same density, thickness tolerance, certification completeness and transit insurance at a lower price, we are glad to re-examine our quote.

Compare on these seven cost drivers, not on unit price alone:

Cost driver

Our position

Defect rate and rework

100% pre-shipment inspection, not sampling

Specification shortfall

Our density and thickness are backed by TDS v4.1 and SGS reports

Customs delays

13 valid certifications, with RoHS, REACH and ASTM E84 all in 2026 editions, shipped with the goods

Transit loss

Free CNF-to-CIF upgrade with marine insurance at our cost

Delivery delays

14 production lines, 250 tonnes per day, 95%+ on-time delivery

After-sales response

24-hour response, plus Alibaba Trade Assurance protection

Batch colour consistency

Approved sample retained for 1 year as the reference for later batches

Before comparing quotations, ask each supplier for: their TDS, third-party test reports and certificate validity dates — so the comparison is fair.

We also have genuine pricing flexibility: as a direct factory with in-house export, 14 self-managed lines, direct raw-material sourcing and no middleman markup, we offer volume-tiered pricing. Share your target price and expected annual volume and we will do our best.

F10. Why choose Pluswin over other suppliers?
